Thank you to Joanie Winchester of Tatonka Kennels for sending me just what I have been searching for. (OK, I wasn't looking for black and tan, but of course now I think it is cute!)
Havoc is pure Sorrells, a family of dogs I like. My competition dog Dirk's, parents came from the yard of Bert Sorrells. If Havoc proves to have useful drives and passes her health checks, I hope to use her in my LAWDOGS detection dog breeding program. She is certainly showing all the things I like in this line of dog: people friendly, high drive and high energy. A great little bitch. Obviously I wish Havoc came from health tested and titled stock, but the reality is I haven't found a single kennel breeding health tested, titled pit bulls of a useful type. Any performance dog person has to start somewhere, and I start here.
PLEASE NOTE:
Do NOT contact me about puppy sales or stud service.
Dogs are produced for law enforcement detection work only.
I DO NOT sell dogs, period. End of story.
Many people think they want a certain type of dog when in reality they have neither the time nor the ability to provide for the needs of that kind of dog. Before you buy or adopt a "high drive" dog, make sure you can be fair to that animal. Do you have a job for it? Work for it to do - everyday? Please respect a performance bred dog enough to care for it appropriately. That does not mean living in a crate or chained in a back yard. Thank you.
